I'm considering buying a new router to replace my aging Asus RT-N66U, which I've had since 2012 (I currently have Tomato on it, since I thought DD-WRT wasn't compatible with it). I'm a fan of DD-WRT and have been looking for recommendations online. I've heard the Netgear Nighthawk R7000 is popular, and I'm almost tempted to go with it.

I haven't been able to get a hold of a laptop with ethernet port to try to see if I can look into the 192.168.1.253 router that way. But anyway once the router is turned on now, it will become connected to both gateways and will start routing traffic. I can access dd-wrt on the router from either of the two networks.
